Objects brought in for work will be described and photographed before work starts. Your specifications will be discussed and the more input from you the better end result. Both a written and photographic record will be made during the work and can be accessed whenever you require it and a copy of the full record will be given to you at the end. Reproduction of the documentation in an anonymous form will be used (e.g. on this website) unless you refuse it.
Some items have inherent value and I will make it very clear if the value of the item will drop if work is done (usually repurposing work). I am usually happy to continue, with your written agreement. If I feel the work would have to be irreversible and the item is too valuable I will refuse the item.
I am not responsible for any damage done after the item has been returned.
The deadline I give for work is normally met and unrealistic deadlines are not accepted. If a deadline cannot be met I will contact you as soon as I become aware of it. The same applies if I am unable to work due to sickness etc (this has never actually happened)
Pricing work is always difficult, an initial estimate is agreed. Most projects come in close to the estimate - as many are under estimate as over.
Some items may not be given an initial estimate if 'whatever the cost' is applied but then itemised accounts will be periodically provided to ensure you are aware.
